Job Information

 Reach To Teach is looking for an experienced AP English Literature/English teacher to teach at one of the best high schools in Hangzhou. The school is located in downtown Hangzhou, just five minutes away from Hangzhou's scenic West Lake.

This school highly emphasizes and values teaching quality. 95% of their students have been accepted by the top 50 US colleges. They offer expatriate teachers a very attractive compensation package and treat their teachers with respect.

  • Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree with Teacher Certification;
  • Native English Speaker 
  • 3-5 years of formal teaching experience
  • 120-hour TEFL / CELTA / TESOL 
  • Experience in teaching AP English Literature/English Teacher
  • ELL or ESOL teacher training and/or experience is highly preferred
  • Teachers must be comfortably teaching with technology, including teaching with iPad 
  • Proficiency in facilitating lab experiences for ELL/ESOL students
  • Valid Criminal background check
  • Provide official college degree


  • MONTHLY SALARY: 18,000RMB to 30,000RMB per month based on related teaching experience and our evaluation based on your interviews. If a teacher deserves higher pay than this range, the school has no problem about offering higher salary.
  • AIRPORT ASSISTANCE: Airport pick-up included on arrival
  • AIRFARE ALLOWANCE: Your flights to and from China are fully covered
  • ADDITIONAL LEAVE TIME: 10 days of paid sick/personal leave, 5 days of Paid Bereavement Leave, one month of Paid Maternity Leave and 5 days of Paternity Leave
  • HOUSING: 4000 RMB per month OR 5000 RMB per month if you come with your family 
  • PAID VACATION: 5 Vacation Days + National Holidays + Paid sick leave
  • MOVING FEE: 3000 RMB of excess luggage fee or moving fee
