    Chikanlou (The Chamber of Red Hill)台南市古蹟巡禮 - 赤崁樓
    Tainan Chikanlou is built by the Dutch in 1652. It was originally called Provintia. In Dutch it means eternity. The Chinese called the building "Chikanlou", "Fanzailou" or "Honmaolou". Although Chikanlou has gone through Ming Dynasty, Qing Dynasty and the Japanese Colonization Period, it basically still maintains its original look...

    How to get there

    ‧By Car
    National Freeway No.1 → exit at the Rende Interchange torward Tainan City → through Dongmen Circle → turn right at the Beimen Rd. → turn left at the Minzu Rd. → Chikanlou (The Chamber of Red Hill).

    ‧By Bus
    From Tainan Railway Station, take Tainan City Bus No.5, 88, 99, and get off at the Chikanlou (The Chamber of Red Hill) stop.
