For many years I've been a English teacher and it is a profession that has given me many joys and sometimes many frustrations. Fresh out of collegue I travelled all across Europe, getting to know a lot about its people and its culture. I remember staring from the cliffs of the famous Rügen in Germany, cheering from the grandstands of the great bullfight arenas in Barcelona and discovering that for someone clueless about French Paris wasn't really that friendly. My days travelling were very exciting but they also made me realize that I was looking forward to settling down and starting to work as a full time English teacher.

Because of the usual torrent of tourists that arrive to the city year after year, I have always had the idea that, if I wanted to teach English New York would be a great location. The city was ruthless but I took it as a challenge. Every day I strived to be unique and charming, to provide tourists not only with a great learning program, but also with something that could really complement their travel experience. However, even though for a while the blind determination to produce the best English Course New York had to offer carried me forward, I found out that I wasn't happy with it. I felt that youthful wanderlust flowing through my veins and knew deep inside that it was time for a change.

I first learned about Taiwan's excellent job opportunities thanks to a dear friend to whom I owe one of the best experiences in my life as of yet. I felt like I should be intimidated with the idea, but the promise of an amazing new adventure in a far away place lured me in. I found out later that my fears had been just a fantasy. Taiwan is a great place for English native speakers to both learn and teach! It turns out that the government is working hard to create a friendly speaking environment for international expats. Government and public offices have been created to help newcomers and the Universities all offer more affordable tuition rates and don't charge any special fees to foreign students on campus. As for working there, I found a big number of opportunities for people like me. With the economic boom that the country has been experiencing in the past years, more and more people are ready for their own linguistic adventure as English has become a requirement for the better paid jobs.

The beautiful landscape, warm weather, the friendly natives and the incredibly fun atmosphere will make you want to stay in Taiwan for a really long time. So if you're thinking about taking a trip or even staying for longer, I thoroughly recommend the beautiful Taiwan. I promise you won't be disappointed.
